Dr. Nissin Nahmias

WEST HARTFORD – New England Integrative Health Associates (NEIHA) has announced that Dr. Nissin Nahmias of West Hartford has joined its practice. Nahmias specializes in bariatric procedures and gastrointestinal surgery.

Nahmias will operate out of the offices on Asylum Avenue in Hartford, and in the new center space when it opens in September.
“As a physician specializing in bariatric surgery, I have seen first-hand the tremendous benefits experienced by individuals who lose weight and make positive lifestyle changes,” says Nahmias.
Nahmias will present two free seminars in August to discuss different surgical procedures, including Lap-Band System, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass and Single Incision “Scarless” Surgery.   On August 25, he will present an informational seminar at 1000 Asylum Ave., Suite 4307 in Hartford. The program will run from 6-7:30 p.m. On August 30, the session will take place at the West Hartford Senior Center, 15 Starkel Rd., at Bishop’s Corner in West Hartford. The purpose of these seminars will be to discuss medical and surgical options to wellness through weight reduction through a holistic approach.
Dr. Nahmias has been designated a Bariatric Surgeon of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
He is a member of Beth David Synagogue in West Hartford.
