Jewish chaplains monument to stop in CT on the road to Arlington

The Jewish Chaplains Monument will be in New haven on Oct. 4

It’s been a long, winding and sometimes rocky road…but the Jewish chaplains monument, first proposed by the Jewish War Veterans and several other veterans’ groups in June 2010, is at long last a reality.  The much-anticipated memorial will be dedicated on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.
The monument will be on display in many locations before it comes to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. The journey will begin in Cleveland, Ohio, and will make many stops, including (but not limited to) Citi Field in N.Y., Cape Cod, Mass. and Providence, R.I. It will stop in New haven on Oct. 4 and will arrive at the Jewish War Veterans’ museum in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 9.
