Letters to the Ledger Opinion

Letter: Kudos to Hartford Teens

I was so thrilled and impressed by the article on Teens into Philanthropists (“Turning Teens Into Philanthropists,” June 17). The reason being was that so many of the students in the picture had been my students in first grade at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford.  Others in the picture had attended Schechter, but after first grade. I also was fortunate enough to have taught all of Cyral Sheldon’s and Rabbi Chatinover’s children. What a wonderful experience these two special people are giving to these students. To these students and to the others in the picture, you certainly are showing  ” How to Make the World a Better Place to Live.”
