When Rabbi Jeremy Wiederhorn stepped up to the podium in the U.S. Capitol last week, his fans at the The Conservative Synagogue in Westport painted a sign – held up for the camera by preschooler Alexis Shukovsky – to let him know just how proud they felt. Wiederhorn served as guest chaplain in the U.S. House, at the invitation of Rep. Jim Himes, when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress.
