Congressman John Larson toasts Lillian Marlow and her family.

On Sunday, June 5, over 180 guests including Congressman John Larson gathered together to celebrate four generations of the Bayer family at Congregation Beth Sholom B’nai Israel in Manchester. The honorees included Lil Bayer Marlow, Bill and Barbara Bayer and their children Stephen and Allise, and Laurie and Aaron Bayer and their three children Rose, Phillip and Abraham. The Bayers were honored for nine decades of dedication and generosity to both the community and the synagogue. A chapel in the synagogue was recently refurbished and rededicated in the name of the famliy’s patriarch, the late Philip Bayer. Speakers included Lew Segal, Elaine Kahaner and Rabbi Richard and Lisa Plavin.
