Midnight Mitzvah

Teens of the Temple Sinai Stamford SoSTY  youth group took to the streets of New York recently to distribute clothing, blankets, personal care items, and food to the needy who live on the streets. SoSTY is one of many groups who participate in the social action project called “Midnight Run.” It was the Temple Sinai youths fourth trip  within the last two years). More than bringing just supplies, students are taught to bring  dignity and a personal touch into the lives of those in need. In addition to “Midnight Run,” Temple Sinai Stamford SoSTY youth have also participated in a Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless at Congregation Kol Ami in White Plains, and visited the Hebrew Union College Soup Kitchen.
