Stephen and Evelyn Firshein of West Hartford announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah Firshein to Eric Gillin, son of Robert and Sandra Gillin of Randolph, Mass.
The future bride is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.  She is currently editor of Curbed National, a website reporting on real estate, interior design and shelter media, based in Manhattan. She is the granddaughter of Marianne Smith of Meriden.
The future groom is a magna cum laude graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, with a dual degree in political science and magazine journalism.  He is director of the Men’s Network at Hearst Digital media, overseeing Esquire.com and Popular Mechanics.com.
