There’s something cooking at the Hebrew High School of New England (HHNE)…and it has everyone’s taste buds talking. Members of the West Hartford school’s Culinary Club are learning the finer points of cooking Sephardic, under the direction of chef Dorit Kanik, an Israeli of Kurdish origin. Bureakas, hummus, pita and falafel are just some of the tasty homemade treats the students are whipping up.  And, speaking of food, the high school recently published its first book of recipes, collected from parents and friends.  Copies are available through the school, (860) 231-0317.
