By the numbers: U.S. voters stand with Israel

61% say Israel is making an effort for peace.

A new poll of American voters conducted earlier this month by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of The Israel Project – shows a rise in support for the Jewish state.

51% of U.S. voters oppose unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state without a signed peace treaty with Israel.

54% believe that without a peace treaty, the U.S. should not recognize a Palestinian state.

61% say Israel is making an effort for peace.

53% say the Palestinians are making “not much” or “no” effort for peace.

58% say the U.S. should support Israel – (the highest level of support since Oct. 2009)
