Susan Stoppelman of Manchester, former director of marketing and public relations for the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, has joined The Children’s Museum in West Hartford as director of development.
After her stint at the Federation, Stoppelman spent 12 years as director of development and marketing for Greater Hartford Legal Aid. She then served at Asnuntuck Community College, Middlesex United Way, and Latino Community Services before returning to West Hartford.
“It’s a fun, exciting place to spend my days and a great institution to support.,” said Stoppelman. “I’ve already reconnected with some old friends from Federation, as we prepare for our exciting Gala on April 30, so I’m especially eager to see who else shows up that night!”
The Children’s Museum attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually who come to see its more than 100 live animals, and experience its hands-on science exhibits, digital planetarium shows, and programs for younger children and families. The museum is located on Trout Brook Drive in West Hartford and at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton.
