Malech named a partner at Wiggin and Dana

NEW HAVEN – Steven B. Malech, formerly of West Hartford, has been named a partner of the law firm, Wiggin and Dana. Malech is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, as well as its Antitrust and Consumer Protection and Probate Litigation practice groups.
Malech’s experience includes the representation of clients in connection with a broad variety of antitrust and consumer protection matters in court and in single and multi-administrative matters and investigations before federal, state and local government agencies, including the United States Federal Trade Commission, the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, the New York City Department of Affairs, and the offices of state attorneys general. His experience in probate litigation includes the representation of beneficiaries, fiduciaries and creditors with respect to will contests, disputed accounting proceedings and alleged breaches of fiduciary duty.
Malech is a vice chair of the Membership and Equal Opportunity Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law, and recently served as a member of the Government and Legal Affairs Committee of the Promotion Marketing Association. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Bar Association of the City of New York and the District of Columbia Bar Association.
Malech received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as an associate editor of the Insurance Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and the District of Columbia.
