W. H. real estate agent "stars" on HGTV

WEST HARTFORD – Evan Berman of West Hartford enjoyed 30-minutes of fame last week, when he was the featured real estate agent on the popular HGTV show “Househunters.”  On the show, which was filmed over the course of three and a half days several months ago, Berman showed prospective buyers Stephen and Cristina Frenkel three West Hartford homes, one of which they ultimately selected to buy.

“I had a great time filming,” noted Berman, who is an agent with ERA Broder Group. “The buyers, Stephen and Cristina Frenkel are great people who love living in WH.”
As far as the current real estate market is concerned, says Berman, things are looking up.
“Often times we get a push of business just after the holidays and I am certainly noticing that now. I think that general consumer confidence is up. People are feeling that the economy is improving. While interest rates are still fairly low, buyers and sellers are getting themselves into the real estate game. I anticipate our spring market to be solid. Houses that are in good condition and that are properly priced are selling relatively quickly. Houses that are overpriced or that need a good deal of work are sitting on the market longer. Though, if there is a house that needs work and is priced properly it will sell.
Berman lives in West Hartford with his wife, Lisa, and his children, Max, 10, and Brett, 9. He is the son of Brenda and Malcolm Berman, also of West Hartford.
