On the face of it, Seth Blumer is pretty much like any other 10-year old. An “A” student at Northeast Elementary School in Stamford, he likes to swim and read and snowboard. He enjoys sleepovers with friends, practices karate and studies Hebrew and French. But it is the piano that he has been studying since the age of five that sets him apart.
An accomplished pianist who has studied with some of the world’s most renowned teachers, Seth recently placed second in the 2009 Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey – winning the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, which he did recently. Seth is now planning a benefit concert to raise money for his school this spring, just prior to his graduation.
