Temple Sholom appoints executive director

GREENWICH – Temple Sholom in Greenwich has appointed Eileen Robin as executive director, it was announced recently by the shul’s Board of Directors.

Robin, who will oversee all operations of the synagogue, with particular emphasis on financial management and member relations, brings to her new post 20 years of experience in business management.  She previously served as business manager at several independent schools, including the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester and, most recently, eileen robinSchool of the Holy Child in Rye.  She also served on the leadership team of the National Business Officers Association and the New York State Association of Independent Schools.

“We are very excited that Eileen has joined our community,” said Board president Ariel Manacher, in announcing Robin’s appointment.  “She brings a wonderful combination of strong financial management as well as interpersonal skills to her position and we are confident that her knowledge, experience and passion will be a tremendous asset to our synagogue.”

Robin, who lives in Rye Brook, N.Y., holds a BA in business management and religious studies from Franklin and Marshall College and an MS in school counseling from Mercy College. The mother of three grown daughters, she has been an active member of the Conservative movement since her youth.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of this vibrant community,” says Robin.  “I am looking forward to working with the dedicated clergy, lay leadership and professional staff to continue to build and strengthen our family-friendly, multi-generational congregation.  I am impressed by the wide variety of programs and services offered, and look forward to continuing to develop and offer new and innovative programs and services to meet the needs of all current and prospective members of our congregation.”
