WARNER

Curt Warner (Kurt Worms), 93, of Bloomfield and Lauderhill, Fla., died March 23. He was the husband of Marion Buchheim. Born in Aschaffenburg, Germany, he was the son of the late Leopold and Gerda (Straus) Worms. A Holocaust survivor, during the evening of Kristallnacht in 1938, he was saved by hiding in a sleeper sofa in a Frankfurt apartment. He later served some time in a Nazi work camp. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Steven Warner, and Beverly Ladue and her husband James Ladue; and his granddaughter Arielle.
